Danny Johnson will collect data and share with change team:
-time from assessment to admission for each client
-time to first lab appt from assessment and referral
-number of clients that no-show
-reasons for no-shows

New client's currently are delayed from beginning services due to lab requirements - would like to reduce time from assessment to admission so that clients can begin dosing same day, or at the latest, within 2 days of assessment. Reduction in no-shows.

1 11/07/2023 12/12/2023 Warm handoff staff will transport client to lab for appt so that the client does same or next day. -Warm handoff staff will be contacted on day of assessment for eligible clients.
-Warm handoff staff will return to MAR facility and transport to lab and remain with clients until labs are completed.
-Lab will mark labs as stat and communicate with MAR nurse / doctor if there are concerns.
MAR will count number of clients that did / did not receive lab same day and reason - these will be staffed by team on daily basis to problem solve delays.
-Warm handoff staff began transporting clients for labs on 11/20/23. - 5 of 5 clients were transported by warm handoff staff from 11/20 through 11/24.
- Lab staff did not mark some labs as stat (3 out of 5) - this was communicated to lab staff on 11/24/23.
-4 of 5 clients did complete labs same day and were prepared to dose the following day. 1 of 5 clients was not able to begin dosing the same or following day due to lab confusion.
Team made a decision to adopt transport by warm handoff staff and will adapt the lab component so that the lab is called with each new admission.
